Our Vision

The City of Decatur leads Georgia and thrives by becoming entirely equitable, delightfully livable, and completely sustainable through our clean energy and climate initiatives.

We’re committed to 100% clean,
renewable energy for Decatur by 2030.

In the City of Decatur, 100% clean, renewable energy isn’t a dream. It’s the start of a just transition to lead Georgia. Pledges to forge ahead are being signed (over 1,700 so far). Solar panels are appearing on homes, schools, and soon office and parking ramp rooftops. Our fire, police and transit vehicles will run on electricity. New programs will manage energy efficiency, providing access to all. We will do our part.
